Golf Exercise Tip - How To Warm Up

By Golf2Win | June 26, 2009

A useful golf exercise tip to take into consideration is the fact that warming up before your game of golf can dramatically help you improve the quality of your game.

The warm up session does not need to be something elaborate or strenuous. You can get creative and take a brisk walk from your car to the course.

The idea is to get your muscles warm before you even engage in stretch exercises prior to tee off. This is the sort of golf exercise tip that should not be ignored by any golfer.

Stretch exercises are very important to the golf swing tip. We have seen from various golfers who have taken on our exercise program. And yet stretch exercises will work out much better for you when you briefly warm up before embarking on them on the course.

The idea is to get your muscles warm and ready before doing your stretch routine in readiness for the game. You will prove this golf exercise tip because usually after completing your warm up and stretch exercises, you will feel much more comfortable when executing the golf swing.

The confidence alone will put you in a perfect frame of mind to make very few mistakes while consistently making those extra long drives.

Warming up may sound strange. Probably as strange as exercises sounded in golf in the first few years. But the fact of the matter is that golf has changed dramatically and virtually almost all pros are involved in serious golf specific exercise programs these days.

By implementing this extra golf exercise tip of warming up prior to your exercises or even game, you will see a tremendous improvement in your performance.

Jerry Newham’s Simple Golf Tips Part 2 - The Golf Swing

By Golf2Win | June 18, 2009

Welcome to part 2 of my quick and simple golf tips which I’m sure will help all golfers improve their skills. This time we are dealing with some quick tips to build a better golf swing.

1) To find a better sense of tempo in your swing relax your grip pressure before you start and make the takeaway of your swing a smooth, unhurried movement.

2) When you complete a full swing, remember to try and remain poised and balanced for a couple of seconds and then recoil the club back in front of you pointing it at the target.

3) To hit a power drive, relax your hands and arms as you start your swing and ensure you make a full shoulder turn into your backswing.

4) The transition from backswing to downswing is and should be the slowest phase of your swing. Forcing the transition to be fast will result in hitting at the ball instead of swing through it.

5) As we start the downswing it is good to feel the hands drop and not drvie down, let gravitiy do what comes naturally. This ensures we drop inside to the ball and not drive forward forcing an out to in strike.

6) In the address position, the body should feel live and active and the arms feel passive. It is the body that anticipates movement which allows the arms to swing the club smoothly.

7) Before you play the shot, try and formulate a pre short routine and carry it out before every shot you take. This will help you to keep more focused and develop a more consistent swing thought.

As always, enjoy your golf and keep on playing.
